ahhh!

The Lucy Hale song didn't attach...but never fear!

2012 is the year I turn back into a 14 year old girl

For some reason, inexplicably, the new Selena Gomez song is the shit. I can't seem to not stop listening to it.

I also have started watching Pretty Little Liars and got a rhinestones i-phone case. Oh...and I bought the new Lucy Hale (from PLL) song, which will be in high rotation on my "gym jams".

I'd be embarrassed if it wasn't all so awesome. Next up, I'll be passing notes to Fauxanna Wintour, playing MASH, and drinking my vodka in a water bottle mixed with kool-aid. Just like I did in 9th grade.

XOXO,
Bunny

PS - Speaking of 14 year old girls, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my baby sister who is lovingly known as Filthy McNasty, Stinkerbelle, Sissy and a couple others that wouldn't be lady like to print.  She is the ripe old age of 23, however I remain a constant 22.

time of death...2:32pm

Wellllll hellllllo! Have you missed me? It's been a long time...even longer if you count the fact that I wrote the movie posts mostly in November. I know, I'm a sly one.

Man - that holiday season just about did me in. I don't think I've drank that much champagne...well...ever, even though Poodle says my blood type is "champagne". December was a month of nothing but parties, booze, and hangovers. Not a pretty sight, but I'm sure it is exactly how the baby jesus would have wanted me to celebrate his impending birthday.

And so I'm back...I guess. I think with all the champ in my blood stream, I ended up catching some sort of virus. I would say it was the bird flu, but this was worse. On Christmas I was begging for death - not presents. And then on the 28th, it disappeared as mysteriously as it had come. However, its not really gone because I can only "be on" for about 3 hours before I'm exhausted and crawling for the bed.

The holiday was spent in the RIC. I didn't think I would last all 10 days there, but with the bird flu devil hosting in my body, most of it was spent in bed watching Downton Abby (which is exactly where I was for NYE). However, I did make it out long enough to catch the new Elvis exhibit at the Virginia Fine Arts Museum - which I highly recommend. The Louvre it's not, but when in Rome you know.  I also saw the new Mission Impossible movie. Granted, I hadn't seen the previous MI movies, but it was GOOD. And I don't even like Mr. Cruise.  But one thing I think everyone can agree on is the man deserves an Oscar for his running skills alone. How does he run so fast? Do you think its because he's 4'11? Man...he can pump those arms like nothing I've ever seen before.

Speaking of NYE, I know everyone has made their resolutions and most of us normally take until February to break them, but one of mine - to have more patience and be positive at work - died a glorious death yesterday.  I barely made it 72 hours.  A new record.  Other than the ones that everyone else has - to eat healthier and to work out more - I've decided to be nicer, to be more frugal (which is SO hard because I'm sweating the 'God Save McQueen' scarf like it's my fever), to give up Baby Boy, and to travel.  Speaking of working out, who doesn't love to roll into the gym January 2nd to see what new meat is there. Last night there was the usual 50 year old men who have a sudden realization that another year is gone and they are another year older.  They'll be gone by MLK weekend.  Then there was my gymesis - who everyone hates because he is a douche - and then the one new attendee, who while cute, ran for 7 minutes and then left. He didn't even bother to put his stuff in the locker room, which is always odd to me.  And yes - I did see how long he lasted, because at the 7 minute mark I was ready to call it a day too.

Tennis is back...which means Rafa is back...which means I will be a happier person. That is IF he wins. I'm not holding my breath, but just praying he makes it to Cincinnati in August.

Welcome back!

at $68 for one

While I asked santa for a Louis Vuitton monogrammed "never full" mm tote, among many other things, I wonder if santa would also bring me a box of these new LV condoms. Though, one doesn't want to be a label whore.

I personally like the raised LV...super cute.

dc in 3 minutes

When you take away the traffic and the rain and the protesters, DC is amazingly beautiful.

now THIS is a protest I can get behind.

The backlash against Bradley Cooper being voted as Sexiest Man Alive is starting to get ugly! Even George Clooney thinks Ryan was robbed.

There are now petitions all over the internet to right the wrong that People magazine made this week naming the totally-adorable-yet-not-quite-"sexy" BC instead of Ryan Gosling.  I have to say that after watching "crazy, stupid, love" this weekend, I am now a confirmed RG fan.

Take a look at these websites to be a RG convert.

it has recently come to my attention

Good lord...is it Friday yet? My boss is out of the country so you would think I could just slack off, take a 2 hour lunch every day, and leave early, but nooooo. The hell that is the holiday party has ended up in my lap and is certain to make me crazy or kill me.  Place your bets now.

Just a couple things I'd like to bring to your attention...

* Congratulations to New Girl for completing her very first marathon! Personally, I don't know why in the hell you would chose to run 26.2 miles....or what you think about for 5 hours except the extreme agony you are feeling. But anyhow - kudos! It lessens the pain a bit of you running five miles at 5am with Baby Boy...alone...in the dark...in a secluded location. Actually, not really...not even a little.

* It's now an epidemic.  This weekend marked the SEVENTH engagement of someone I know since September.  Seventh. While I couldn't be happier for all of you people, this shit has got to stop. It just has to.  At least until January. So if you get engaged before January 1, 2012 - congratulations - but do me a favor and don't tell me. Umk? Thanks.

I really need a new pair of chanel sunglasses

Yesterday was Vogue editor Anna Wintour's birthday. The hilarious people at Fashionista did an amazing collage of Anna in her signature glasses.  There are 62 photos to be exact...the same age Anna turned yesterday...and Fashionista put that in print. On their website.  Anna will probably have them not only killed, but probably removed from the web.  It was nice knowing you.

I'm always right

Do you remember the time...July 8th to be specific...when I wanted to play the fashion game of who would wear which Valentino dress?  If not, let me refresh your memory.  I said, "This one screams Anne Hathaway...maybe Emma Watson".

Well all-be-damned ya'll....lookie here.  It really does make me feel superior to always be right.

There is something about her nose and her always ruby red lips that just make me want to punch her. Does anyone else have that reaction? The only thing I've remotely liked her in was 'the devil wears prada' but that was for the clothes and Meryl's amazing Anna impersonation.

walking in a winter wonderland?

Ladies and gentlemen....this is some bullshit.

Um, hello! It's October 28th. No way in hell should there be snow on the ground in DC. In the mountains - perhaps. But it's not even halloween! And yesterday was 70 degrees! Obviously, Mother Nature read my post yesterday about the rain/snow boots and got excited. This almost makes me want to climb into bed and not get out till March.

I dreamed a dream...

Holler! Oh ya'll, mama is tired. On my way back from NC, I stopped in the RIC for the night - and I'm not sure what I ate, but I had the weirdest dream.

I dreamt that a gentleman in a gray fitted suit with a black tie was on the roof of my office building. For some reason, I was also on the roof. He was pacing back and forth, very agitated. He glanced back at me, winked, and then jumped off. I ran over to the side to look down, but it was no longer my building - it was the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. I started screaming for someone to help him, but he had disappeared. I turned around and started running down the circular stairs, but when I got to the bottom, it opened into a chic Parisian cafe with red velvet lined walls. I told the maitre d' that I was looking for my brother, but he sat me with George Clooney, who's hair was more salt than pepper. That's all I remember.

Normally, I don't remember my dreams or I'll only remember bits of it so it never makes sense, like this one. But there is suicide, there is Paris, and there is George Clooney as my brother. The great hambino looks nothing like GC. NOTHING. And let me say that I've met George Clooney before, ridden in an elevator with him, and while he is attractive in movies and in pictures, he is nothing to dream about - but that's just me.

So for all those psych majors, please tell me what the hell it means.

this just in...

A letter to the white house crashers/ former real housewives of DC "stars" (and I use "stars" very loosely).

Dear Michaele and Tariq Salahi:

No one cares about you.  No one cares that you are getting a divorce.  No one believed for a second that there was a kidnapping. No one would be stupid enough to do that - 1. you have no money and 2. you are creepy, weird, and annoying.

And Michaele, Journey? Really?  Next time try to be a groupie of a band that isn't from 1984.

Please move to the West Coast and disappear from life. Both of you. Immediately.

Sincerly,
Everyone
XOXO

there aint no cure for the summertime blues

It's been a couple of days since I last checked in and to that I apologize.  I had a slight freakout (read: major panic attack) that I might have had a virus on my laptop, so I ceased and desisted from logging on. But after a visit with our lovely IT people, and there was nothing to worry about.  And obviously, Lady Lala fell down on the job, stepping up when I was silent. Shame on you and your alleged "school".

Because the one and only Baby Boy is walking around looking ADORABLE today, I give you this. Because obvi I need to give all my attention to him.

Check out #1...my all time favorite character from my all time favorite movie. Its been said that we're a lot alike.  So it also probably means I have the same issues.

It's getting hottt in here...

It feels like 110 in DC today.  And I am no where near a beach or a pool.  There is something wrong with this picture. However, I am near a bar and will be drinking away the heat and the heartbreak that is my life later tonight, if anyone wants to join my pity party.

I'm back having the writers block...I seriously need a guest writer or two.  Start submitting applications STAT.  And I'll start working on my hazing.

So here are just some things I've been thinking about lately:

*What seemed like a good idea at the time (famous last words), I worked out on Sunday.  Yes, it is the lord's day and I should have been at home watching Jake Ryan movies, but no...I decided to go into an empty gym, show off to only myself, push myself more than I should, and do these sit ups I found in some magazine.  I guess the sit ups worked, but every laugh, every turn, every deep breath in feels like someone is sitting on my stomach. If it wasn't so damn painful, I would have done them again this morning.  But I couldn't. I just couldn't.

*Did anyone happen to watch Jersey Housewives this past Sunday?  Am I the only one who is over this show? I just can't stand the ridiculousness of their lives.  And Melissa's singing makes me want to vomit, but I kind of dig that song.  The gem was the after show on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen...except this week it was Jay Mohr hosting.  Holy bananas yall. It was the funniest 30 minutes I've watched in a long time.  If you didn't see it, find it and watch immediately.  His guest were Kathy and her Jeff Goldblum husband, Rich.  Honestly, it made me die and Bravo needs to hook Jay up with his own show ASAP.

*I ended up watching Mermaids this weekend.  I had forgotten about 80% of the movie and really only cared about Michael Schoeffling's part (see! I do know Jake Ryan's real name), but it was a cute movie.  I forgot how adorable Christina Ricci was at 8 years old and I forgot that Jake Ryan and Winona Ryder hooked up in the bell tower....it was a hot 3 minutes. Oooh lord.  Anyhow - it's not necessarily rent worthy, but if its on HBO definitely watch.

*Thoughts on the Beckham baby name? Harper Seven.  I actually like it. Sue me.  If I had a baby girl, I would name her Georgiana or Carolina (pronounced like Herrera - Carooleeena).  I like interesting names...and let's be honest, no one is calling her Seven.  Can you imagine what this baby will be dressed like?  If Posh was smart, she would start a maternity and baby line in addition to her amazing clothing line. Just saying.

*I'm lost without tennis on.  When is the next match? And why the hell doesn't the tennis channel come with comcast?

Wish I was somewhere else, jamming out to this:
Stay cool yall.  And if that means hiring a hot pool boy to spritz you with evian spray then do it.  And now I'm taking applications for that pool boy...
